I have potentially found an ideal solution to the question "what shall i use to extend my rear mudguard so i don't cover my club mates in sh$%e?"
Obviously the proof is in the riding (on the way home tonight) but should it be sucessful i may well be able to provide the solution to club mates - in either blue (as shown) red, green or even yellow.

i've been thinking about them too... :-)
Depending on the gauge, I'm not sure of its chances in any wind. Very professional looking though!
It survived the ride home. I do need to adjust it slightly as it doesn't quite sit centrally however a minor point. I am very pleased, its light enough to not overload the mudguard yet it is very tough and more importantly in plentiful supply at work!
Now to make a red one for the roberts.....
I didn't realise you rode with other folk Mark
Or you mike?
Sorry can't comment, off to ride with other folk.
So was I last night, oh and this morning.
Fight fight fight fight fight fight
Ha ha
He always buggers off half way through though Mike! ;-) (although I'd probably have been ringing Beth to come and find me at the side of the road on the Pudding Ride if Mark hadn't dragged me to the finish)
just cut the "flap" in red for the roberts.
Seriously though, once people have checked it out (if i ever ride with others?) i will happily / covertly supply the ingredients if others are interested.
Did you hear about Mat's 'covert' activities?
pray tell mikew??
I'll let him tell you, but perhaps put a hold on the heist until then.
i'm seeing him tonight...
P.s. i'm probably blowing it out of proportion - the plasic is cut from these ring binder files that we use at work and we literally have thousands of them and some of them are now a bit knackered so it is not really an issue for me to use them - obviously i'm not gonna supply 100+ members but the odd one will not be a problem.
i think that you will like the material.
Yeah but can I have black, grey or white or some other neutral colour?
black grey or white is soooo last year. its all about dischord - how about a flash of yellow? or (very 2012) bright green?
Dashing pink for me please! I am a designer I can get away with wearing bright colours:-)
I am an engineer; black or silver (unpolished preferably) please!
Blue and yellow battenburg for me...
Black with a white or pink stripe. I am a
dedicated follower of fashion....
I'm easy - so its been ruomoured!! ;-)
Lee will want a Rapha logo on it, shirrrley?!
Who's Shirley?
There, silver and black.
My activities weren't so covert after I'd been caught in the act!
we have a phrase at work... "you could GIVE them a ferrari and it would still be the wrong colour"
ball bags to the lots of you.
What colour do you do the bags in?
they come in a nice shade of whoopass
I'll order 1 electric blue please.
It's official: Mat likes a tickle -- it's electric!
I'd like a guard extension for my Mercian please.
The colour scheme is green, silver, dirt and oxidisation.
Any of those will do.
How many zip-ties are on that guard now Mark?
Get copyright on that before Rapha see it. :-)
