HI, how fast is this ride intended to be? I am not on a racing bike, the distance won't be an issue for me, but I don't want to be holding everyone one else up.
Hi Sally, you may prefer to come along on our ride to Elvaston Castle on Sunday - not as far but you will definitely be able to keep up!

Paul is right. Average speed for this one is likely to be around 14.5 - 16.5 mph. This is a tall order on an non racing bike.
What time do you expect to get back (in-laws round for lunch so will probably struggle...)
Would love to do this, but not able to make it this weekend.

Mm...que rapid re-writing of my route sheet as just brealised the Mapmyride route is a variation of what I was planning!!

Arrived Dove Cottage just as it opened. Chatted to a couple of other cyclists already seated in glorious sunshine. Guy comes out to take our order "Theres been a bit of trouble at Bingham police station" We all look concerned. "yep - burglars nicked the toilets - police want to investigate but they've got nothing to go on" Haha, brilliant, cafe with a friendly comedian.
Great ride, thanks for the tow from Kinoulton to Costock Russ - I was dead man cycling for that section! Good morning out but More miles needed in legs...
