Road Racing often seems daunting but as many members of Beeston CC have found out, with the right planning, road racing is an adrenaline pumped buzz!
As a beginner you will need to join British Cycling so that you can get a Racing Licence. Beeston CC are affiliated to British Cycling so you can get a 'Bronze' British Cycling licence free for your first year. This will save you paying the day membership rates. However to be eligible to accrue points from races and move up the categories you will need a 'Silver' licence or above but with our affiliation you get this at a discounted rate.
We regularly race at the local circuits (Darley and Mallory) and have been known to travel further. A full list of races is found via the British Cycling Website: www.britishcycl...ne_filter_id=21
The season gets underway in March at Darley near Ashbourne and then there are regular races at Mallory Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
