On my bike I am Bernard Hinault
I ride race and road bikes; above all what I like about cycling is precisely the act of riding my bike, "working". I enjoy a brisk pace and riding in a group, "working" together or "toying" with my fellow BCC riders, viz. line riding, accelerating and playing catch-up. I am better equipped for the flat or mildly undulating terrains but, though slower than I'd like to be on them, am not afraid of hills. I typically ride between 140 to 180 Mi per week thanks in part to 3 "long" commutes. I lead the Ride Section for BCC and organise the morning Long Commutes into Nottingham as well as the Monthly Club Brisk rides; plus a few others.
