On my bike I am Malcolm Elliott. Like me-'old' & from Sheffield
Much of my cycling is about the commute to work. It's what got me started and interested in cycling. Five years of regular commutes in London helped hone basic bike skills and I was (and still am) an honest cyclist, respecting junctions and traffic lights! My commute is now much longer, and largely rural and is my main source of cardiovascular workout.
I am very proud to be a member of Beeston CC and to have participated in some of the notable cycling adventures, including the Beeston-Paris ride, which led to the founding of the club and also being inducted into the Club des Cinglés du Mont-Ventoux. Living some distance from Beeston most of my ‘recreational’ rides tend to be impromptu and solo, but I do welcome company, so look out for ‘my rides’, which are usually around Belvoir – you’ll be pleased to note I do wear shorts when cycling outdoors!
